Seems most 'Test Tachometers' out there are calibrated for Automobiles and they're 'single cylinder fire ignitions' and distributors (4, 6, and 8 cylinder). Most all multi cylinder bikes I know of out there continue to be set up to fire two cylinders at a time (2's, 4's and 6's).
