Webrizom however is better than any uv tool you'll find in a generic dcc. it's the zbrush of uv tools in that it specializes in uvs and only uvs. there are lots of tools in there made for unwrapping lots of things at once, stacking, aligning, and you can generally cut and unfold shells simultaneously instead of having to run each command sequentially WebThe standard work flow for this kinda thing is to take the Hi poly mesh and retopologise it in another program like C4d or Maya. then you can UV unwrap it and export it back to ZB and project the details of the HiPoly mesh back to the uv'd retopo. WebI think it's Magic UV that has the options align x and align y, which let you straighten a row or column of vertices. If you get the map nearly straight, then you can go through row by row and column by column straightening them out exactly. It's a bit laborious, but it works. If you want to pay for a more powerful tool, there's Rizom UV.
